Flora & Fauna 的原意為，某時某地的植物和生物，簡單點說呢，即係陀地。Diageo 於 1992 年開始推出了 Flora & Fauna 系列。Diageo 為其名下的二十六間酒廠"賜予"一種動植物，可以看成是吉祥物，然後作為 Flora & Fauna 系列的每一間酒廠的獨立標誌。

這二十六間 Flora & Fauna 系列酒廠於下:

近年已很少見有新的 Flora & Fauna 系列的瓶裝, 分分鐘已經停產. 我相信 Diageo 會看重 Distillers Edition 系列多些.

是不是停產也好, 酒是用來喝的, 有得喝便喝吧. 來一款 Flora & Fauna 的 Mortlach 喝喝看. Mortlach 那吉祥物….看來是鴨吧.

Mortlach 16 years, Flora & Fauna, 700 ml, 43%

氣味: 花蜜，乾果，乾花，青草，朱古力
口味: 葡萄乾，拖肥，牛油，咖啡，多士
餘蘊: 中等長度，黑咖啡，焦糖，藥草
結論: 帶甜的乾果氣味伴以乾花的香氣，有丁點草青味，不討厭，清淡中有朱古力的氣味點綴。中等酒體，甘醇的咖啡拖飛，牛油的豐潤感，也有多士的焦香。中等長度的餘蘊，偏向焦香，有點藥草的苦味，不算過份。一款不是複雜的酒，但整體平衡雅致，尤以結實的酒身為佳，未有突兀奇怪的味道，但亦無令人驚喜之處，平穩和諧，飲得過之選。

Flora & Fauna means certain plants, animal & wild life in a specific place or time. Diageo launched the Flora & Fauna series since 1992. Diageo assigns an icon of plants or animal to selected distilleries under its umbrella.

The 26 distilleries are listed as follows:

The new Flora & Fauna bottlings are rarely seen recently and probably this series has been discontinued. I think Diageo focuses on Distillers Edition much more.

Let’s try a Mortlach from Flora & Fauna series. Who’s fxxking care is it a collectible. Whisky is making for enjoyment. The icon animal of Mortlach….look like a duck, supposedly.

Mortlach 16 years, Flora & Fauna, 700 ml, 43%

Nose: Nectar, dried fruit, dried flower, grass, chocolate
Palate: Raisin, toffee, butter, coffee, toast
Aftertaste: Medium length, black coffee, caramel, herb
Conclusion: Sweet dried fruit accompanying with fragrance of dried flower, little bit grassy but not offensive, flavored by chocolate amongst mild aroma. Medium body, mellower coffee and toffee, oily butter, toasted bread. Medium length aftertaste, trends to burnt taste and bitterness of herb but acceptable. A dram of not really complex, no offensive or strange taste, while no surprise or extraordinary element, plain and unadorned but balance and refined, lovely firm body, a good whisk nevertheless.
